Seahawks stand pat at No. 25 in Touchdown Wire’s NFL power rankings

The Seattle Seahawks improved their record to 6-10 on the year after beating the Detroit Lions at home in Week 17. But with no hopes of a playoff appearance or a winning record this season, the Seahawks stand pat at No. 25 overall in Touchdown Wire’s latest NFL power rankings.

“The Lions hadn’t won all season on the road and the Seahawks made sure that continued in a 51-29 rout,” Nick Wojtan writes. “While Detroit did start to press the issue slightly after Seattle got out to a big lead, they were put right back down. WR DK Metcalf had three touchdowns for Seattle while Rashaad Penny added another two on the ground with 170 rushing yards.”

Two other teams in the NFC West are faring much better than Seattle late in the season, and both are in the top five of the power rankings – the Cardinals at No. 5 and the Rams at No. 3 overall.

The Seahawks close out their season in Arizona next Sunday.
