Seahawks sign tackle Brian Wallace, waive safety Jalen Harvey

The Seattle Seahawks continued to beef up their hurting offensive line, signing free agent tackle Brian Wallace.

They waived safety Jalen Harvey to make room on the roster.

Wallace worked out with the team late last month, alongside running back Chris Warren.

Wallace played right tackle at Arkansas, and caught on with the Redskins after going undrafted in the 2019 NFL draft.

He has the requisite size and length to be an NFL tackle, but is still very raw and could use a lot of coaching to reach his full potential.

However, with both George Fant and Jamarco Jones nursing injuries, along with guards Phil Haynes, Mike Iupati and Jordan Simmons, the Seahawks need more bodies on the offensive line – and Wallace gives them a raw prospect to work with and see if he is worth a spot on the practice squad.

Harvey was signed as an undrafted free agent following the draft. The Arizona State product battled injuries during camp however, and never really got a chance to prove himself.

He did not appear in either of Seattle’s first two preseason contests.
