Seahawks sign running back Marcelias Sutton, waive/injured Adam Choice

The Seattle Seahawks announced a couple of roster moves ahead of Wednesday’s open Organized Team Activity.

Seattle has signed running back Marcelias Sutton and waived/injured running back Adam Choice to make room on the roster.

Sutton, an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma, participated in the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp the first weekend in May.

Standing 5-foot-8, 196 pounds, Sutton logged 29 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns for the Sooners in 2018. He appeared in just six games last year before his season ended due to a leg injury.

Sutton joins Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, C.J. Prosise, Travis Homer, and Bo Scarbrough to make the sixth running back on the Seahawks’ roster.

Choice, an undrafted free agent out of Clemson, was waived with an injury designation, although no further details were given in the team’s press release.

Seattle will practice until 1:15 p.m. PT Wednesday, with press conferences to follow. Coach Pete Carroll is expected to address the media at that time.
