The Seattle Seahawks announced a number of roster moves on Wednesday, including the return of another familiar face, signing linebacker Mychal Kendricks to the practice squad.
Kendricks spent the last two years in Seattle and finished 2019 on the injured reserve after tearing his ACL. He started 14 games for the Seahawks last season, logging 71 tackles, 3.0 sacks and one interception.
“We were fortunate to get him on our practice squad right now,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters during his press conference. “He’s still a free agent and all that but he’s on his road to recovery right now, coming back in and proving he can do it.”
Kendricks had reportedly visited the Seahawks earlier in the month.
Seattle also signed another veteran linebacker to the practice squad, Ray-Ray Armstrong. Armstrong, who has spent time with the Cowboys, 49ers, Giants, Raiders, Rams and Browns over his eight years in the league, has appeared in 84 games.
Finally, the Seahawks have promoted safety Damarious Randall from the practice squad to take the spot of Lano Hill, who has been placed on the injured reserve.
