Seahawks sign ex-Titans RB Adrian Peterson to practice squad

Former Tennessee Titans running back Adrian Peterson has found a new home, as he’s set to sign with the Seattle Seahawks on their practice squad, head coach Pete Carroll confirmed on Wednesday.

Peterson, who was signed to the Titans’ practice squad a few weeks back in the wake of the injury to running back Derrick Henry, played in three games for Tennessee, totaling 27 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown.

However, Peterson didn’t look like Tennessee’s best back in any of the three games he played, leading to the team waiving him in favor of keeping fellow backs, Dontrell Hilliard and D’Onta Foreman.

Peterson, 36, will now get an opportunity with the Seahawks, a team that lost its starting running back, Chris Carson, for the remainder of the 2021 campaign.

The veteran and future Hall of Famer needs just 367 more yards to tie Barry Sanders for fourth on the all-time rushing yards list.
