Seahawks sign 4 more draft picks to rookie contracts

The Seattle Seahawks have signed four more of their draft picks from the 2019 NFL draft.

Gary Jennings, Travis Homer, DeMarcus Christmas and John Ursua are now under contract, along with Marquise Blair, Phil Haynes, Ugo Amadi and Ben Burr-Kirven, who were all signed last week.

Over the Cap lists the slot value of those four contracts to be:

  • Jennings – $3.23 million
  • Homer – $2.66 million
  • Christmas – $2.65 million
  • Ursua – $2.60 million

Jennings and Ursua are both expected to help replace Doug Baldwin at receiver, although each of them sat out during rookie minicamp with hamstring injuries.

Christmas will compete for a spot on the interior defensive line, which got a little more crowded with the signing of Al Woods.

Homer is expected to be a big contributor on special teams and could serve as Seattle’s third-down back as well.

That leaves three picks unsigned: first-rounder L.J. Collier, second-rounder D.K. Metcalf and third-rounder Cody Barton.

Collier, Metcalf and Barton will command about $17 million dollars total as Seattle’s three highest selected players.
