Seahawks select only defensive players in latest 4-round mock draft

April’s NFL draft is less than a month away and analysts are now updating their mocks to reflect performances at players’ pro days around the country.

Taking those results into account, as well as the combine numbers, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has released his latest four-round mock draft.

Reuter projects the Seahawks retain their first-round pick to select former University of Washingon cornerback, Byron Murphy, at No. 21 overall.

As of now, Seattle has no choice in the second round as a result of the earlier trade for left tackle Duane Brown and without moving back, Reuter next has the Seahawks selecting in the third.

At No. 84 overall, Reuter predicts Seattle will look to tighten up the edge, opting for TCU’s L.J. Collier.

“Collier would be a great fit in Seattle’s scheme due to his power on the edge,” Reuter writes. “It’s possible he could last this long after putting up average athletic testing numbers at the combine.”

Finally, in the fourth round, Reuter believes the Seahawks will continue their hunt for defensive players, adding Marshall safety, Malik Gant at No. 124.
