Seahawks safety Jamal Adams got a lot of heat Sunday night when in his player introduction he said “I’m the best in the nation.” He overemphasized a few of the words and spoke in a unique cadence.
People were then comparing his statistics and performance based on this statement and social media erupted. However, some are speculating this was actually a tribute to the late Trabis Ward, a former Tennessee State University RB who was fatally shot outside of a liquor store in 2020.
Adams has made no statement verifying it, but he did repost a story about this on his Instagram and liked a post with a video of Ward.
Adams caught a ton of heat on social medial about this statement, but no one put it together until later.
