Seahawks replace Earl Thomas in latest Touchdown Wire mock draft

The Seattle Seahawks only have four picks in the upcoming 2019 NFL draft, and most expect them to trade down in order to acquire more capital.

However, Seattle does have the unenviable task of trying to replace future Hall of Fame safety Earl Thomas, who took his talents to Baltimore on a massive four-year, $55 million dollar deal.

As such, the opportunity to replace Thomas in the draft is too good to pass up, even if it as the expense of acquiring more draft picks.

At least that is what Doug Farrar of Touchdown Wire believes, as he has the Seahawks selecting Alabama free safety Deionte Thompson with their first-round pick at No. 21 overall.

Thompson has been mocked to Seattle multiple times, with each pundit discussing his ability to replace Thomas thanks to his range, instincts and ability to provide some thump in the secondary.

Now that Thomas is officially gone, it may be time for Pete Carroll and company to find the next Legion of Boom. Thompson could be a good start.
