Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny looked ‘quick and shifty’ in practice

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll visited KIRO Radio 97.3 FM for the Pete Carroll Show on Friday and gave some encouraging information regarding running back Rashaad Penny.

Although he hasn’t been activated to the 53-man roster quite yet, Carroll confided that the third-year running back looked fast and agile in practice and could be back on the field soon.

“The other guy that was really exciting this week was Rashaad Penny,” Carroll said. “He looked very, very good, and very quick and shifty. He was really excited to be able to get to work for the first time. We’re going to bring him back and see where he fits in one week at a time.”

The Seahawks have had a multitude of injuries to key players, but Penny has been on the PUP list for the entire 2020 season due to the ACL injury he suffered last year. It seems like the organization will take their time with him until he is 100% healthy and they can comfortably put him back on the field.

The Seahawks will play the 0-12 New York Jets at Lumen Field on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. PT.
