Seahawks RB Chris Carson ready for Browns, Rashaad Penny questionable

The Seahawks are looking to advance to 5-1 on the season after a trip to Cleveland to face the Browns this weekend. A solid outing from the run game could push Seattle in the right direction.

Running back Chris Carson enjoyed the team’s mini-bye weekend and took some time to let himself recover after the bruising battle against the Rams.

Carson returned to practice this week but was listed as a limited participant on Thursday with a sore shoulder.

“You don’t feel it until after the next couple of days, so after the game I felt good, I felt normal,” Carson told reporters Thursday. “The next couple of days you start feeling it, different spots. My body, for the most part, does pretty good at bouncing back. I feel pretty good now.”

Carson was able to practice in full on Friday and should be ready to go in Cleveland. His backup, Rashaad Penny, however, is listed as questionable for the Week 6 matchup.

“He’s got a hamstring thing,” coach Pete Carroll explained Friday. “That’s why he’s questionable on the list there.”

Seattle and Cleveland are set to square off Sunday at 10:00 a.m. PT.
