Seahawks Rashaad Penny, C.J. Prosise got job done 1st half vs. Chargers

Seattle Seahawks fans got a good glimpse of the run game Saturday night when the team squared off against the Chargers in Los Angeles. While Chris Carson got the start, it was Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise who shouldered the load in the first half.

Penny and Prosise each logged a touchdown, something both players desperately needed to add to their preseason resumes. Penny has struggled in his first few outings for Seattle, posting lackluster performances at best. Prosise made his summer debut against the Chargers after spending another camp battling injuries.

Both are vying for the carries behind Carson, who undoubtedly will get the starting nod come the regular season.

Penny was the first to score, on a three-yard run following an impressive series. He also managed three receptions on three targets in the half.

Prosise was next, punching one in from one yard after an equally impressive series of his own.

At the half, the Seahawks lead the Chargers 16-3.
