Seahawks QB Russell Wilson throws his 1st interception of season

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson did not log an interception through 220 passes thrown in his first six games of the 2019 NFL regular season.

However, the INT-free streak came to an end Week 7 when cornerback Marcus Peters – who was just traded to the Ravens from the Rams – picked off Wilson in the second quarter and returned the interception for 67 yards and a touchdown to give Baltimore the lead.

According to ESPN Stats & Info, including the Peters interception, Wilson has now thrown three pick-sixes since the start of the 2018 season. Only Jameis Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Josh Rosen have posted more in that time span with four apiece.

Wilson’s impressive numbers this year have pushed him to the forefront of the Most Valuable Player discussions and the talks will undoubtedly continue despite the INT Sunday afternoon.

As of this post, the Seahawks and Ravens are tied 13-13 at the break and Seattle is set to receive to start the second half.
