Seahawks players react to rapper Nipsey Hussle’s death

Grammy nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle, 33, was shot and killed outside of his own clothing store in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon. The suspect remains at large, and two other people were wounded in the shooting.

News of his death shocked the world, and social media was ablaze with tweets about his influence and wishing the best to his family and friends.

That included many tweets by players on the Seattle Seahawks, many of whom were big fans of the musician.

Hussle, whose given name is Ermias Ashgedom, was nominated for a Grammy in 2018 for his debut album, Victory Lap, which was up for the Best Rap Album award.

Nipsey may not have been a Seahawks fan, but he did have a profound impact on Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark, who listed his song ‘Status Symbol’ among his five feel good songs that get him pumped up on gameday way back when he was a rookie in 2015.
