Seahawks players demand action from NFL after Trysten Hill’s dirty tackle on Chris Carson

Given the initial concern, the Seattle Seahawks received some encouraging news about running back Chris Carson’s knee injury. But the Seahawks remain furious at Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill.

According to head coach Pete Carroll, Carson suffered a knee sprain in the Seahawks’ Week 3 win against Dallas. Yet, the injury appeared to be a direct result of a cheap move by Hill.

Replays showed Hill grab Carson’s leg and twist it as he rolled over the Seahawks running back who was already on the ground. It was an absolutely dangerous and dirty play, and Seahawks players K.J. Wright and Quandre Diggs took to Twitter to call out Hill.

Wright, specifically, wanted to see the NFL issue a suspension for Hill. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hill is expected to be fined but not suspended.

But Wright is correct here: The NFL needs to send a tough message. Malicious tackles like that shouldn’t be tolerated.
