Seahawks player of the game: Quarterback Russell Wilson

The Seattle Seahawks survived a late surge from the Pittsburgh Steelers, moving to 2-0 on the season following a 28-26 victory.

The Seahawks had great performances from multiple players, including two touchdowns from Will Dissly, one from DK Metcalf, three receptions from Malik Turner, an interception from Bradley McDougald, and a sack from Branden Jackson.

However, it’s hard to ignore the incredible night quarterback Russell Wilson had, which is why he earned his player of the game nod.

Wilson completed 29 of 35 passing attempts, throwing for exactly 300 yards and three touchdowns. He finished with a 131.0 quarterback rating.

Wilson also threw his 200th career touchdown pass, making him the first quarterback in Seahawks history to reach that mark – and the fifth fastest to 200 in NFL history.

Wilson and the Seahawks have a chance to move to 3-0, but they’ll need to get through the Saints next Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

Kickoff is slated for 1:05 p.m. PT.
