The Seattle Seahawks have selected Ohio State EDGE Tyrek Smith in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL draft at No. 158 overall.
Smith has the athletic profile Seattle likes in their edge defenders. He is listed at 6-foot-3, 254 pounds with 33.25″ arms and 10.25″ hands. Smith posted seven sacks and 11 tackles for a loss in 23 games with the Buckeyes over the last three seasons.
The Seahawks have just two more picks to make today – both in the seventh round at No. 229 and No. 233 overall.
