Seahawks met with Boston College linebacker Connor Strachan

The Seattle Seahawks were reportedly in attendance at Boston College’s Pro Day on Thursday, where they met with inside linebacker Connor Strachan.

Strachan impressed at the Pro Day, running an 11.29 in the 60-yard shuttle. That prompted him to schedule private workouts with both the Titans and the Saints, so Seattle will have competition for the linebacker who is projected to go undrafted and sign as a free agent.

Strachan suffered a knee injury that limited him to two games his senior season. He led the team with 80 tackles his junior year, including 11 for loss and 3.5 sacks.

The Seahawks shored up their linebacker corps by re-signing Mychal Kendricks and K.J. Wright, who will line up alongside Bobby Wagner and reserves Barkevious Mingo, Austin Calitro and Shaquem Griffin.

Still, adding a player with Strachan’s straight line speed could be a nice addition for Seattle’s special teams unit while he develops into a capable NFL linebacker.
