Seahawks lose pass rush specialist Brandon Jordan to Ohio State

With the lone exception of Karl Scott staying on as a Senior defensive assistant, the Seahawks have totally blown up former head coach Pete Carroll’s coaching staff.

Today the team’s pass rush specialist Brandon Jordan announced that he will be joining Ryan Day at Ohio State.

Jordan did exceptional work improving Seattle’s pass rush this past season. The development of Boye Mafe in particular should be credited at least in part to Jordan’s coaching.

It’s a tough loss for the Seahawks’ staff. However, fans can rest easy knowing that head coach Mike Macdonald knows pass rushing. When he was defensive coordinator for the Ravens last year they had the league’s best pressure defense by a mile despite having no real stars up front.
