Seattle Seahawks middle linebacker Bobby Wagner logged an impressive year once again and has been named the eighth-best player in Pro Football Focus’ Top 101 of 2018.
In 15 games played, Wagner posted 138 total tackles, one sack, 11 passes defensed and one interception returned 98 yards for a touchdown.
“Bobby Wagner, who finished the season as our highest-graded off-ball linebacker, took efficient tackling to the next level in 2018,” PFF notes. “The Seattle Seahawks’ prized veteran missed just one tackle across his 892 defensive snaps and 139 tackle attempts in 2018.”
PFF’s Top 101 only factors in performances from the 2018 season, including the playoffs. All positions are given equally weighted value based on expectations for that spot around the league.
This marks the fifth time Wagner has appeared in Pro Football Focus’ Top 101. He joins quarterback Russell Wilson (No. 42), left tackle Duane Brown (No. 78) and wide receiver Tyler Lockett (No. 84) who were named to the list earlier this week.
