Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed activated back to 53-man roster

Defensive tackle Jarran Reed returned to practice for the Seattle Seahawks this week after serving his six-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Seattle was granted a roster exemption valid through Monday, which allowed Reed to participate in team activities. Reed has now been officially activated back to the 53-man roster in time to face the Ravens Week 7 at CenturyLink Field.

Reed is expected to contribute immediately to a defensive line that has underperformed so far this season. Defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who popped up on the injury report this week, is listed as questionable to play against Baltimore. Quinton Jefferson is also questionable for Sunday with an oblique injury.

To make room for Reed on the active roster, tight end Will Dissly was officially placed on the injured reserve after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury.

The Seahawks and Ravens kick off Sunday at 1:25 p.m. at CenturyLink Field.
