In the first Seahawks game since Colin Kaepernick sat during the Anthem became a national story, one Seattle player followed suit Thursday _ cornerback Jeremy Lane.
Lane sat throughout the Anthem before Seattle's final preseason game Thursday at Oakland.
It was not immediately clear if Lane was showing solidarity with Kaepernick or had other reasons. The team had no immediate comment.
Teammates did not appear to react in any way to Lane, who got up shortly after the song finished and played at cornerback during the first series of the game.
Lane is a fifth-year veteran from Northwestern (La.) State who was drafted by Seattle in the fifth round in 2012. He signed a new four-year deal worth $23 million in March after having been an unrestricted free agent.
Lane is from Tyler, Texas.
