Seahawks center Justin Britt leaves Falcons game with knee injury

The Seahawks kicked off their Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons with their starting offensive line in place. After missing the last two matchups, right guard D.J. Fluker and left tackle Duane Brown both suited up Sunday for Seattle.

However, just minutes into the first quarter, Seahawks center Justin Britt went down on the field with a leg injury. He was able to walk off and into the medical tent under his own power to be looked at by the medical staff.

The injury was determined to be to his left knee and Britt was ruled out for the remainder of the game and sent to the locker room for further evaluation. He later joined his teammates on the sidelines.

Backup center Joey Hunt replaced Britt in the lineup for the Seahawks.

Coach Pete Carroll will likely provide an update on Britt’s status during his postgame press conference.

As of this post, the Seahawks lead the Falcons 3-0 in the first quarter.
