Seahawks celebrate Griffin brothers on National Siblings Day

Happy National Siblings Day! In honor of the special event, the Seattle Seahawks are celebrating a pair of their famous siblings, brothers Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin.

The Griffins, drafted just one year apart, are a rare set of brothers to take the field together in the NFL. Not only siblings, but the Griffin’s are twins, a franchise first for Seattle.

Cornerback Shaquill, the “oldest” of the brothers, was the first of the Griffins to make his way to the Emerald City, selected by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft.

Linebacker Shaquem joined the squad just one year later, a fifth-round pick last season. The Griffins played college ball together at the University of Central Florida.

Do you have a brother or sister you share your Seahawks game-day memories with? If so, log onto Twitter and reply to the CenturyLink Field account with your special story and don’t forget to tag your siblings in the post!
