Seahawks catch a break with Patrick Peterson’s PED suspension

The Seattle Seahawks will take their always dreaded trip to Arizona to face the Cardinals in Week 4 this season, although they won’t have to battle it out against star defensive back Patrick Peterson, who was given a six-game suspension by the NFL following a positive test for PED use.

Peterson is an eight-time Pro Bowl selection who has never missed an NFL game. Seattle will instead likely face former University of Washington cornerback Byron Murphy, who was selected with the first pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft by Arizona.

While Murphy has a great chance to thrive in the NFL following a productive college career at UW, Seattle is certainly happy to not have to face Peterson, who will go down as one of the best cornerbacks of this era.
