Seahawks' Browner being investigated for alleged assault

Seahawks defensive back Brandon Browner has been named in a police report alleging that he assaulted a man Tuesday night.

A spokesman for the Pomona (Calif.) Police Department confirmed that police were called to Browner's residence at 8 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, the father of Browner's girlfriend claimed Browner assaulted him in the driveway of Browner's residence and filed a police report.

Police said the man refused medical treatment and would see his own doctor. Browner left the residence before police arrived.

No charges have been filed, and detectives now will determine if there is enough evidence to seek an arrest warrant.

Browner, 31, returned to the Seahawks after spending one season in New Orleans and one in New England. He was an original member of the Legion of Boom and spent three seasons with the Seahawks.
