The Seahawks are working on signing their draft picks ahead of this weekend’s rookie minicamp. So far, they have two of their 10 selections taken care of. First, they signed their seventh-round draft pick, former Georgia running back Kenny McIntosh five days ago.
Yesterday, Aaron Wilson reported that they have also agreed to terms with one of their two fifth-round picks, former Michigan defensive end Mike Morris. The deal is worth $4.162 million with a signing bonus just under a third of a million dollars.

Morris (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) was one of Seattle’s riskier draft picks this year. He only has one real solid year of college production – posting 7.5 sacks and 11 tackles for a loss as a Senior in 2022. Morris also comes with a perfectly-average RAS score for his position.
Projecting where Morris fits on the depth chart is difficult at this point in the offseason. The Seahawks are guaranteed to start Uchenna Nwosu at one of their outside linebacker spots, but beyond that the edge rotation is mostly a series of question marks. Darrell Taylor has undeniable potential but is inconsistent, Alton Robinson and Dareke Young missed all of last season with injuries and Derick Hall and Boye Mafe are as yet mostly unproven commodities. If nothing else, this should give Morris a chance to impress and earn a decent backup role for himself.
