Seahawks advance to 5-0 start for 1st time in franchise history

The Seattle Seahawks notched another one for the history books Sunday night when they beat the Minnesota Vikings 27-26 to advance to a 5-0 start to the season for the first time in franchise history.

Seattle was shut out 13-0 by Minnesota in the first half but rallied for the win on the national stage. Quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense put on a magic show in the final minutes of the game to win it all with just seconds left on the clock.

“We just believed that if we got the ball back, something great was going to happen and we just said that on the sideline – stay neutral, and keep believing,” Wilson told NBC’s Michele Tafoya after the win. “We made a crucial catch by D.K. on fourth down, what an unbelievable catch. We went up and down the field there, and we had a couple chances to score early on, but it actually worked out better that we scored on the last play there on fourth down.

“It’s always a heavyweight fight.”

The Seahawks now enter their bye next week undefeated and have earned themselves some much-needed rest and relaxation after the victory.
