A daring rescue took place on Dumfries High Street this week – for a seagull.
The bird was spotted with a wire around its wing on the roof of the Hole In the Wa’ pub.
As a result, members of the fire service were sent to the call and scaled the
building on Wednesday afternoon at around 1pm.
A large crowd gathered on the street below to watch as fire service personnel covered the gull in a trap and brought it down.
