Seafood sold at major supermarkets could be contaminated with salmonella, the UK's Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned.
People who have bought various chilled or frozen seafood mixes and packs of mussels from Asda, Co-op, Sainsbury's and Waitrose are urged to return the products to the shops they were bought at.
A statement on the FSA website said: "The products... might be contaminated with salmonella. Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
"If you have bought any of [the products] do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund."
Meanwhile, a further FSA warning covers unregulated meat products sold by a Wiltshire-based vendor on various Facebook pages.
The FSA said: "Meat products (predominantly lamb, goat, veal, beef), of all meat species, supplied by an unregistered and unapproved Wiltshire based vendor have not been produced in accordance with food safety and hygiene legislative requirements.
"These products are not compliant with food hygiene, safety, labelling and traceability requirements and are deemed unsafe. They should not be consumed.
"We have asked enforcement authorities to contact premises in their local areas who may receive the affected products to ensure that they are withdrawn from the market and recalled from consumers."
