Sea-shanty superstar Nathan Evans performs at his first ever music festivals

Nathan Evans was "buzzing" as he performed at his first ever music festivals last weekend.

The Wellerman hit-maker took to the stage in front of thousands of people at the Witcombe Festival in Gloucester and Wolverhampton's Relight Festival.

The sea-shanty superstar, from Airdrie, spent 10 hours on the road as he travelled between both mega events on Sunday.

But the time behind the wheel was worth it as he shone under the spotlight.

Ahead of his festivals bow, Nathan tweeted: "Tomorrow I am playing the first festival shows OF MY LIFE. Nervous. Scared. Excited. Buzzing. Don’t even know if i’ll be able to sleep, but anyway, i’m going to try."

And afterwards he took to social media to say: "WHAT. A. DAY. 1000s of people smiling and dancing. 10 hours driving. 2 festivals. 1 tired but happy Scottish guy. Absolute BELTER of a day, thank you everybody at Witcombe Festival and Relight Festival; was a pleasure!"

Nathan is now set to follow up his huge dates down south by playing the same stage as the likes of Liam Gallagher and Twin Atlantic at next week's TRNSMT.

The musician will open up the main stage on Saturday, September 11, and is sure to make an impression with his catchy tunes such as Wellerman and latest single 'Told You So' during what will be his biggest show yet.
