Sea Sessions announce new festival 'September Sessions' tickets on sale friday

As the live events industry waits for a roadmap to reopen, the team behind Sea Sessions, a three day summer festival usually in Bundoran, have announced a new festival,

‘September Sessions’ will be a series of intimate concerts set to take place in Bundoran next month from September 14th - 19th at the Great Northern Hotel Garden in Bundoran.

Sea Sessions rescheduled their 2020 festival due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and organisers announced earlier this year that the 2021 festival would also be postponed due to ongoing restrictions on live events and large gatherings.

September Sessions will be set on top of a clifftop on the grounds of The Great Northern Hotel ‘September Sessions’ features a brilliant lineup of homegrown artists.

The lineup announced features performers Lyra, Gavin James. Bell X1, The Corona’s, Roisin O, Moncrieff, Michael Moloney, Royseven, Brad Heidi, Thumper, N.O.A.H, Eimear Crehan, and The Zen Arcade.

September 14: Lyra, Moncrieff, Michael Moloney

September 15: Gavin James, Royseven, Brad Heidi

September 16: Bell X1, Thumper, N.O.A.H.

September 18: The Coronas, Róisón O, Eimear Crehan

September 19: The Coronas, Róisín O, The Zen Arcade

Speaking on the September Sessions announcement, Festival Director and Promoter Ray O’Donoghue shared his excitement.

“We are really grateful that we can operate this series of outdoor gigs with the help of the department of arts and culture. The lineup of acts and the setup will be second to none, and with a limited capacity of only 200 tickets per show, it will sell out fast. All the same, it will be great to see some amazing artists and crew back doing what they do best. We can’t wait”, he said.

The intimate covered outdoor concerts will run daily through the week and will have a limited capacity of 200 per show.

Dublin band The Corona’s shared their joy on Twitter at the announcement of the festival. “Let’s do it, #septembersessions.”

Gavin James added, “September Sessions! Tickets go on sale this Friday.”

Tickets are available from Universe.com/septembersessions and start from €159 - €199 for a table of 4 and €229 - €289 for a table of 6, with a limited capacity of only 200 people per concert.
