The team behind Sea Sessions have announced ‘September Sessions’, a series of 5 intimate concerts set to take place next month.
Whilst the beach festival has been forced to be postponed once again this year due to Covid restrictions, the new set of concerts are set to take place in the seaside town of Bundoran, the home of Sea Sessions.
Set on top of a cliff top in the scenic grounds of The Great Northern Hotel, ‘September Sessions’ features a line up including Gavin James, The Coronas, Lyra, Bell X1, Moncrieff, Royseven, Roisin O, Thumper and much more.
September Sessions will run from 14th September to 19 September 2021, with the intimate covered outdoor concerts having a limited capacity of 200 per show.
Lyra, Moncrieff and Michael Moloney will kick off the shows on Tuesday, September 14, whilst Gavin James, Royseven and Brad Heidi are set to take to the stage on Wednesday September 15.
Bell X1, Thumper and N.O.A.H will perform on Thursday, September 16.
The shows will continue on Saturday, September 18 with The Coronas, Roisin O and Eimear Crehan taking to the stage.
The Coronas and Roisin O will perform a second night on Sunday, September 19 alongside The Zen Arcade, as the week comes to an end.
Speaking about the announcement on Tuesday morning, promoter Ray O’Donoghue said: “We are really grateful that we can operate this series of outdoor gigs with the help of the department of arts and culture.
“The lineup of acts and the setup will be second to none and with a limited capacity of only 200 tickets per show it will sell out fast.
“All the same it will be great to see some amazing artists and crew back doing what they do best. We can’t wait.”
Announcing the news on social media, festival bosses said: “We’re really grateful to the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media for helping making this happen!”
