Sea Sessions 2019: the surfing showcase with Ireland's biggest prize

Sea Sessions is making its return this weekend and one of the biggest events at the festival is surfing.

The Surf Expression Session is taking place over the weekend and it brings along a €3000 prize with it.

This year three of Portugal's top performance surfers Tomás Valente, Joao Moreira and Guilherme Ribeiro  are competing alongside Ruyben Ash, Harry Timson and Stan Norman for prize.

The surfers will have to beat last years winner Geroid McDaid.

The Expression Session aims to start at 10am on Saturday will run at either the Peak, Main Beach or Tullan Strand.

Bundoran Surf Co are offering three nights in a private room, festival tickets and surf lessons with different packages varying in price.

Although they are sold out along with tickets to the festival, surf lessons and rentals are still available on their own.

The surfing contest that is being held offers a €3000 prize which is the biggest single prize in Irish surfing.

The festival kicks off this Friday June 21 with Sigrid, Clean Bandit and Two Door Cinema Club headlining the festival.

It is hitting Bundoran in Co Donegal from this weekend.

The annual three day festival is set to start on June 21, with gates opening at 6pm.
