Now is the best time to view irises at Horikiri Shobu-en garden in Katsushika Ward, Tokyo.
The purple and white flowers began blooming in early May and can be seen through the end of the week. The garden grows about 200 varieties of irises, totaling about 6,000 blooms.
Visitors are urged to wear masks to prevent the spread of infections, and admission might be limited if the garden becomes too crowded.
"I was trying to refrain from going out because of the pandemic, but it has been a while since I've seen such beautiful flowers, so I'm glad I got to see them," said a woman from Yokohama.
