Hamilton-headquartered legal firm Scullion Law has announced a string of promotions and hired a new solicitor advocate.

Family lawyer Judith Higson, who joined the practice in 2018,  has been promoted to executive director of the firm.

Diana McLeish, who heads Scullion’s marketing function, has also been appointed to the role of executive director. McLeish, who joined the firm in 2009, oversaw the opening of Scullion Law’s new premises in Hamilton and the west end of Glasgow.

Meanwhile Urfan Dar has joined the firm as a solicitor advocate. In other developments, Mohammed Desai has qualified as a conveyancing solicitor and Laura Cousins has begun a traineeship in family law.

Managing director Nicholas Scullion said: “We are thrilled to announce these promotions and the appointment of Urfan, which all combined have provided Scullion Law with a terrific start to 2020."

The firm now employs 30 staff.  As well as its headquarters in Hamilton, the firm also has offices in the west end of Glasgow and Saltmarket near the Merchant City.
