A "scrumptious" and "spectacular" seaside fish and chip shop in Scotland has been named one of the best in the UK.
Located in the historic town of St Andrews, Cromars was named alongside other beloved establishments across the country, including The Fishmarket in Edinburgh and The Swan in Southport.
Introducing the ranking, food and drink magazine Delicious urged readers to "discover" its picks for the top fish and chip shops by the sea.
The list is said to include places offering "top quality" and out-of-this-world waterside views.

Discussing the seaside fish and chip shop, Delicious said those coming to visit St Andrews, a coastal town famed for its "royally-attended" university and "glorious" golf courses, would be "foolish" not to pay it a visit.
In recent years, Cromars has been crowned the best fish and chip shop in Scotland and has been widely described as "spectacular".
Highlighting what those dining in at this establishment in Scotland can expect, the publication said: "The town-centre café itself has lovely outside seating and makes a great place to rest up after a day at the beach."
The Scottish eatery has also been praised by visitors, with users on Tripadvisor giving the chippy a 3.8/5 out of 1418 reviews.
One person said: "The best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted. The fish was so fresh it tasted like it had been caught that morning.
"We were in St Andrews for five days and went to Cromars twice during our stay. Can’t wait for our next trip."

A third penned: "Went at 12.30 with my friends and we all got the regular fish and chips. They got the special that included a Scottish beer or cider. It was absolutely amazing!
"The strawberry cider was to die for, and the tartar sauce was so good! Five stars! Great vibes and great vibes. Even nicer staff and almost no wait time."
