Screwfix opens new shop on Bristol's Whiteladies Road

A leading DIY retailer has opened a new shop in Bristol.

Screwfix has launched its newest store on Whiteladies Road, in the unit formerly home to Sharps Bedrooms, which moved further down the high street last year.

The new store has created seven jobs and stocks a wide range of products for local tradespeople and people working on home renovations.

Shop manager John Tucker said the store’s location, product range and click and collect service is a 'real bonus to local tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts who need to get jobs done quickly, affordably and right first time'.

"We’ve got a great location here in Bristol," he said. "Our team have been getting to know local businesses and tradespeople and we look forward to supporting them with the products they need."

In March the trade retailer revealed plans to open more than 50 stores in the UK and Ireland, creating around 600 new jobs.

The rapid growth of Screwfix has seen the trade retailer open, on average, one store per week for the past five years.

Earlier this year the company announced that it had reached annual sales of £2 billion for the first time, just five years after reaching sales of £1 billion.

Screwfix’s new Bristol shop is located at 96C Whiteladies Road, Bristol, BS8 2QX. The latest opening times can be found on the Screwfix website.
