'Screw the nano,' says Zander

Motorola boss Ed Zander doesn't seem to have quite got over being Steved by Apple. He was stopped from doing his own launch (or pre-launch) for the Rokr phone, then had his overhyped product upstaged by Jobs's theatrical launch of the iPod nano. Now IDG News Service has reported Zander's outburst during a leadership seminar hosted by the Churchill Club:

"Screw the nano. What the hell does the nano do? Who listens to 1,000 songs?" Zander said. People are going to want devices that do more than just play music, something that can be seen in many other countries with more advanced mobile phone networks and savvy users, he said.
