Screaming Josie Gibson dragged out of lake after falling in live on This Morning

This Morning's Josie Gibson was left apologising to the sound department, after potentially damaging some expensive equipment when she fell into a lake live on air.

She was heard screaming as she accidentally slipped on a water float and landed in the water, taking her microphone pack with her.

In the hilarious on-air moment, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield gasped before laughing at their co-star due to her misfortune.

Poor Josie had to be dragged out of the lake by a member of the crew, but he struggled to help her because of her life jacket and her being well and truly in the lake.

Josie could be heard groaning and laughing, desperately trying to keep the microphone out of the water, while also trying to get back onto the float.

Eventually he got her back on land, of sorts, and a relieved Josie apologised for a second time.

As Holly and Phil asked if she was okay, they began laughing due to the "undignified" camera angles during her rescue.

Josie then looked mortified by the incident, claiming the sound team were not happy with her at all.

It all kicked off during her usual competition segment, as she walked across a water float resting on the lake only to take a tumble.

Screaming all the way down, she carried on with her segment while clinging on for dear life - looking worried she would get into trouble.

Admitting it wasn't supposed to happen, the cameras returned to her after the competition details were read out as the hosts wanted to see what happened next.

Still stuck in the lake before being dragged out, Josie began hysterically laughing before apologising to the crew.

Phillip shouted: "Oh my god. This is not the most dignified shots there have ever been Josie, we’re so sorry to cut back to you! We could not lose this link."

Holly added: "Oh my god, that was maybe my favourite moment of yours ever Josie, that was incredible."

Viewers tuning in at home were also very amused, as others praised the telly star for carrying on like a pro.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
