That makes Liverpool the top English city for tipping.
In the UK leader board, Liverpool comes third behind Glasgow (55%) and Edinburgh (51%).
More than 2,000 consumers were surveyed to compare their tipping attitudes from before the pandemic and now.
The findings overall revealed that despite the stereotype of Brits being terrible tippers, only 7% of us choose to never leave a tip.
Over a third (34%) of Brits always leave a tip and three in five (59%) tip if they are impressed with the level of service.
Of those Liverpudlian's who don’t leave a tip, half state they don't tip because they can't afford to and half said they don’t tip because they believe employers should pay hospitality staff more.
For those that do tip, when asked what the main reason for leaving a tip is almost two-thirds (63%) said to show that they are satisfied with the service, and more than two-fifths (45%) state they leave a tip if they like the person providing the service.
More than two fifths (42%) of Liverpudlians even said they would leave a tip if they were unhappy with the service.
