Scouse Glastonbury icon delivers hilarious hair update after rollers mix-up

A Scouser who went viral at Glastonbury last week has delivered a hilarious update on her time at the festival.

The woman was stopped by a BBC News reporter while she waited to enter Worthy Farm for Glastonbury on Wednesday. She had her hair styled in rollers to keep her curls in place ahead of the festival and was pushing along a trolley of her items.

A hilarious misunderstanding followed, where the reporter asked her about the rollers in her hair but the woman thought he was referring to her trolley, which had broken during the trip. She said: “I know, it's not great. So we were walking and then it just all snapped and now we’ve literally had to drag it the whole way. It’s a nightmare.”

When the reporter clarified what he meant, she said: “Oh, I thought you meant the rollers, the wheels of the thing [trolley]! Erm, I just got a curly blow this morning.”

Incredibly, the reporter and the Scouser bumped into each other again as she was preparing to head home after several days of music and partying. When the reporter asked her how she found out about her new celebrity status, she said: “One of my friends text me and said, ‘oh my god, I’ve just seen you on the news’. I was like, ‘What?’”

“Then I went on TikTok, saw it and I was like, ‘oh my god!’” She also said she was grateful for the appreciation she had received on social media.

She went on to clarify that she had no regrets about getting a curly blow. Laughing, she said: “Well it’s dropped now, it’s the last day! But it was worth it.”

She also issued an update on the state of her trolley. Asked how she was going to get all her belongings back home from the festival, she paused and said: “God knows, I’ve got an Ikea bag, I’ll just have to put it in that.”

The woman was among many Scousers at the festival having a great time, from a man who proposed to his girlfriend on Glastonbury Hill to a Scouse dad who grabbed a selfie with Sir Paul McCartney.
