'Scotty Doesn't Know': PM's website plays lewd song after internet prank takeover

Prime Minister Scott Morrison's personal website has been taken over and redesigned to feature an obscene pop-punk song about a teenage love affair called Scotty Doesn't Know.

Mr Morrison's web domain www.scottmorrison.com.au currently hosts a picture of Mr Morrison along with the song from American band Lustra.

The song, which features a profane description of the love affair, has been on the website since at least yesterday afternoon.

In a Facebook post dated 5:20pm (AEDT) yesterday, a man named Jack Genesin claimed credit for the prank, claiming Mr Morrison had forgotten to renew his website and it had expired.

"Most fun I've had with $50 in a long time," Mr Genesin said.

The song is known for its appearance in the 2004 American comedy EuroTrip, with actor Matt Damon lyp-syncing to the track.
