Scottish village turned into set for filming of new movie

A FILM crew has been spotted in a county village for a rumoured romantic movie that will be set in East Lothian.

The crew was seen in Dirleton on Thursday morning, but exact details of what is being filmed have not yet been confirmed.

In one of the images, a prop reading "Haddington Train Station" can be seen suggesting it may be one of the locations for the upcoming flick.

A local resident told the East Lothian Courier that he had spoken to a member of the production team, who had told him it was a film for the Canadian market.

The film is titled A Scottish Love Story and centres around a girl who comes to Scotland and falls in love with a local man.

The Castle Inn in the village has been closed to allow filming to take place and the owners said it has been "a pleasure" to have the production crew in.
