Scottish urban explorer finds skeleton of family cat and creepy doll in abandoned house

A freaked-out urban explorer had the shock of his life after uncovering the mummified remains of a cat in a former family home left abandoned for half-a-century.

The eerie house, thought to have been left frozen in time since the 1970s, was discovered by Adam Mark who went rummaging through its decaying rooms for his YouTube videos.

Located deep in the Highlands, the home's history remains a mystery but one theory suggests it was once a crime scene as police tape is still draped outside.

Intrepid explorer Adam described the atmosphere to the Daily Record as “dark and eerie” and the silence put him on edge before he made some horrifying discoveries.

Chilling footage shows a dusty dining room table still set with plates and cutlery for dinner - and even a creepy doll with its eyes missing facing the window.

Eerie footage, which panned through the different rooms of the house, also revealed old photos, books and newspapers dated between the 1950s and 1970s.

In a horrifying twist, Adam discovered the mummified remains of a family cat, whose skeleton was laid on the floor.

Upon discovering the cat, he yelled out in horror before noting that someone else had already stood on the animal which lay on the floor of one of the rooms.

As the urban explorer made his way upstairs, he couldn't shake the feeling that he wasn't alone and became increasingly 'freaked out'.

He said: "It's freaking me out this house. I haven't felt like this in ages, I'm on my own but I don't feel like I am."

Adam, who has been exploring abandoned building for eight years, told the Daily Record: "I'm not 100% sure if it was a crime scene, but the tape makes me believe so.

"It was a very strange atmosphere in there. I believe it had been abandoned since the 70s."

In the video, he said: "Today's explore I head to the Scottish Highlands to check out this mysterious abandoned house.

"From what I could find out, this house had been abandoned since the 1970s and was completely frozen in time.

"I have no idea about the history of the property or its former owners, but what i found inside amazed me - tables still set, vintage pianos and furniture and antique dolls had all been left inside.

"Newspapers dating back to the 1950s and magazines even further. The house had been completely covered in a thick layer of dust and debris from the damp walls and decaying ceilings.

"The house was dark and had a strange eery silence to it, which put me on edge the whole explore. I even had the privilege to meet the family cat."
