A SCOTTISH councillor has become the latest to defect from the Conservatives to Reform UK, the party has confirmed.
Councillor Duncan Massey has defected from the Scottish Conservatives to Reform UK at Aberdeen City Council, the party announced in the city on Monday morning.
His defection brings the total number of Reform UK councillors in Scotland to 13.
Massey told reporters in Aberdeen: "I've decided to go join Reform because I think the whole country is struggling at the moment. It feels like it's not working, and I think only Reform have got the solutions that can fix that.

"I think also here in Scotland, we've had a failing SNP government in power for nearly 20 years.
"They don't seem to be offering any solutions, just wanting to continue the gravy train.
"And again, I think only Reform can bring the change that we need."
Other Reform UK councillors include the latest defection Dominic Monchay last month, and Glasgow's Thomas Kerr, who defected from the Tories in January.
Meanwhile, Aberdeenshire Council has three other Reform UK councillors (Laurie Carnie, John Crawley and Mark Findlater), Falkirk has one (Claire Mackie Brown), North Ayrshire has two (Stewart Ferguson and Matthew McLean), and Renfrewshire Council also has two (John Gray and Alec Leishman).
