The clock is ticking to honour the stars who did Scotland proud on the world stage.
And highlight the unsung heroes who keep the love for sport burning on the home front.
Tuesday is the deadline for nominations for the Sunday Mail/sportscotland Scottish Sports Awards.
Our elite sports men and women have excelled on the world stage in the past 12
months. But the people who helped them get to the top – the coaches, community clubs and local heroes – deserve their place alongside our world and European champions.
The awards dinner – on December 5 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Glasgow Central – will honour both.
So who will be on the top step this year? Maybe Laura Muir after her brilliant double gold at the European Indoor in Glasgow, her Diamond League success and her current No.1 world ranking over 1500m?
Or does Liverpool’s Andy Robertson’s ascent to the peak of European football, as the first Scot to win the Champions League in 22 years, do it for you?
Has last year’s winner Duncan Scott done enough to retain his Sports Personality of the Year title – winning gold and China last month?
By the time our expert panel of judges sit, the Tartan Tornado, Josh Taylor, could have added another world title to the IBF junior welterweight one he won in May at the Hydro.
There’s no shortage of worthy candidates – boxing world champ Hannah Rankin, badminton starKirsty Gilmour and cyclist Katie Archibald.
Shelley Kerr’s women’s football side reached the World Cup finals but do they pip Celtic or Pro 14 finalists Glasgow Warriors for Team of the Year?
For Inspirational Performance winner in 2019, do we have to go further than Scotland’s rugby heroics at Twickenham in the Calcutta Cup?
Or does that honour go to Oban golfer Robert MacIntyre for his breathtaking rookie season on the European Tour, his sixth place at The Open a highlight?
More importantly, though, we need to hear about the unsung heroes who make sport happen in your area.
Give us as much detail as you can about why you think your nomination deserves the vote of our expert panel of judges.
Stewart Harris, chief executive of sportscotland, said: “It has been a great 12 months for the sporting system in Scotland.
“The Scottish Sports Awards give us the perfect opportunity to reflect on so many achievements.
“The transformative power of sport is evident on a daily basis, not least through our network of community sport hubs and the Active Schools programme.
“The awards are also a chance to recognise the tireless work of volunteers and coaches as well as the performance of Scotland’s top athletes on the global stage.”
Sunday Mail editor Brendan McGinty added: “We’re proud to recognise the best the country has to offer in sport and even more proud to put what we’re doing at grassroots level under the same spotlight.”
