Scottish SPCA seeks ‘spooktacular’ retirement home for dog this Hallowe'en

The Scottish SPCA are seeking a loving retirement home for a Lhasa Apso this spooky season.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity is hoping to ‘treat’ Flynn, who is in the care of their Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton, to his forever home.

SSPCA Hamilton centre manager, Gillian Boyle, told us : "We hope it’s not ‘witchful’ thinking that we can find a home for Flynn this Halloween.

"He is a handsome gentleman who is between 10 and 12 years old.

"As he is an older man, he can be set in his ways and likes a routine.

"This ‘boo-tiful’ boy is full of character and has a lot of life left in him. Flynn adores going out on walks and exploring, and then enjoys nothing more than spending the rest of the day snoozing in his cosy bed.

"He loves a bum scratch and likes to be next to you, but is not a cuddly dog. Most of the time he prefers not to be handled and to be left to his own devices.

"We are hoping to find him an experienced home with no children that understands his needs and respects his boundaries.

"We feel he could possibly live with another dog that was similar nature as him.

"Flynn would make a ‘fang-tastic’ companion, and we’re dying to give him a ‘fa-boo-lous’ new home."

Anyone interested in giving Flynn a home to live out his golden years can apply via the SSPCA website.
