Scottish SPCA appeal to Wishaw cat lovers to donate food after kitten baby boom

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Wishaw to donate much needed Iams complete kitten food to its Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

The animal welfare charity has seen a baby boom in recent weeks at the centre, near Hamilton.

Centre manager Gillian Boyle said: “We’re currently caring for around 30 kittens of various ages.

“It can be a struggle to keep up with so many hungry mouths to feed.

“We also need disinfectant because with this amount of young animals it’s more important than ever to keep everything as clean as possible.

“Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic we are closed to the public. But we can accept donations sent directly to us from Amazon or any other online retailer. We can also accept donations via the outdoor donation bins.”
