Scottish Rugby agree new six-year Macron deal ahead of World Cup

Scottish Rugby will continue their partnership with Macron for the next six years.

The seven-figure deal is a huge improvement on the previous one signed in 2016 and will see all of Scotland’s squads, including the sevens and women’s teams wear the Macron kit.

Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby will also continue to wear Macron in their Pro14 and European campaigns.

Scottish Rugby chief Mark Dodson insists it’s a huge boost for Scottish rugby and reckons it’s an example of how good their relationship has been.

Macron first made Scottish rugby kits in 2013 but have worked with Edinburgh since 2010 and the new deal will kick in when the current contract ends in 2020.

Dodson said: “I am very proud we can continue to work Macron for a further six years taking the partnership beyond the 2023 Rugby World Cup cycle.

“It’s a testament to the quality of the relationship we have with Macron to supply all our kit requirements until 2026 and I look forward to working with Gianluca and his team in the years to come.”

The deal will take Scottish Rugby and Macron’s relationship until 2026 while they will also continue to manage the governing body’s online store.

The sportswear brand also provide kits for Hibs, Motherwell, Dundee United, Dundee, Queen of the South and Ross County in the SPFL.
